The screening will take place on December 5 at the Rutherford County Administration Building at 6:00 pm. The Veteran's Battlefi eld is a documentary that explores veterans' challenges in North Carolina and how counties and residents can best support our veteran population. North Carolina is home to around 700,000 veterans and has the eighth-largest veteran population in the nation. Veterans face a wide range of challenges that can seem insurmountable. The Veteran's Battlefi eld highlights these challenges and how county Veteran Service Offi cers and community leaders are working to support them. The documentary showing is free and open to the public. Rutherford County government is hosting this event in partnership with the Department of Veteran Services of Rutherford County. County Commissioners and other local stakeholders and organizations will be at the event to distribute information and host community discussions surrounding veteran services and support.
