TODAY: This view looks north on Main Street, following the completion of the Main Street
Reconstruction project. On the right you can see (from the right) Candyman on Main, The Bend
Theater, Husar's House of Fine Diamonds, Brazen Head Pub and more along the east side of
Main Street.

CIRCA 1959: The view looks north on Main Street. On the right is the First State Bank. Schultz
Bros. Variety Store now occupies the street floor of the Hotel Weinand/Schlegel. The next build-
ing on the right is the West Bend Drug Store. Farther on the right is the West Bend Theater, with
its vertical "West Bend" sign. On the left the Beacon Restaurant is on the street level of the
Hangartner Building. Just before the restaurant is the Lange Meat Market.
