El más recientemente reporte indica que la contribución de los latinos a la economía estadounidense aumentó a 3,2 billones de dólares en 2021, lo que ocuparía el quinto lugar en el mundo si el grupo fuera un país indepen - diente, justo detrás de Alemania y por delante del Reino Unido y la India. According to the study, done by the Latino Donor Collaborative in partnership with Wells Fargo, the contribution of Latinos to the U.S. economy increa - sed to $3.2 trillion in 2021. If U.S. Latinos were an independent country, they would be the world's fifth-largest economy, just behind Germany and ahead of the United Kingdom and India. But the most surprising thing about this report is that the sector with the fastest growth, which represents 15% of the Latino GDP, is not agriculture or small business. It's finance, insurance, and real estate, according to an analysis by David Hayes- Bautista, professor of medicine and director of the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture at the University of California, Los Angeles.
