More Than Meets
W
ith a storied military history, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-
Lakehurst (JBMDL) is the Department of Defense's
only tri-service base, which comprises 42,000 acres and
spans more than twenty miles in Ocean and Burlington
Counties. Lakehurst, however, is more than just the site of
one of America's worst historic disasters. It is an integral
part of the tri-service base with military traditions and roots
dating back more than one hundred years.
