She was born January 21, 1959 in Gaston County to the late Romie Lester and Margaret Mull Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester, Arnold, J.J., and David Jones. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Heather Jones; three granddaughters; brothers, Gene Ray, Russell, and Pete Jones; and sister, Katherine Mull. Clarence Jack Brinkley, Jr., 71, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on September 24, 2023. He was born March 1, 1952, in Macon, GA, son of the late Clarence Jack, Sr. and Addie Virginia Carroll Brinkley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Ware Brinkley and brother, Richard Keith Brinkley. He is survived by a daugh- ter, Karen E. Galicia and hus- band René, of Knoxville, TN; and brothers-in-law Melvin Ware (Janet) of Blacksburg, SC and Edwin Ware of Morganton, NC. A graveside service was held October 2 at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Poston; and brothers, Junior McElveen and Johnny McElveen. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Poston of Cherryville, Lewis Poston (Ellen) of Belwood, Jimmy Poston (Terry) of Crouse, and Michael Poston (Carolyn) of Casar; daughter, Felisha Dellinger (Mike) of Sumter, SC; brother, Ray McElveen; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and a daughter, Armanda Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Aldridge Johnson, Jr.; her mother, Ms. Betty Little; three sisters, Cynthia Littlejohn; Robyn (Steve) Cathcart; Juanda (Anderson) Ethridge; two brothers, Dino Little and Melvin (Robin) Little; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Costner and a brother, Lawrence Edward "Eddie" Costner, Jr. Survivors include two sis- ters, Ella Grigg and hus- band Ray and Brenda Fitch and husband Dewey, all of Cherryville. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lee Kinley; brothers, Samuel Kinley, Carroll Kinley, Everette Kinley, William Kinley, J.D. Kinley, Marshall Kinley, two infant brothers; and sisters, Ethel Helderman, Viola Cloninger, and Stella Kinley.
