Where: Spangler Branch Library, 112 Piedmont Dr., Lawndale, NC More Info: Come to the Spangler Branch Library to observe skills used in the 1700's such as chair caning, seed saving, butter making, creating handmade toys, crazy chickens and more. Saturday November 11 Saturday November 11 What: Annual Cleveland County Veterans Day Parade When: 10:00 am, November 11. Where: Uptown Shelby, beginning on corner of W. Graham and S. Lafayette St., Shelby. More Info: Proud to be a Veteran theme. Applications to participate in the Parade may be picked up at the Clev. Co. Veterans Service Offi ce, 311 E. Marion Street or by emailing, TVMustang68@bellsouth. net. Applications should be returned no later than November 7, 2023 to secure a space. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. When: 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm, October 7. Where: Kings Mountain Gateway Trail, 807 S. Battleground Ave., Kings Mountain, NC. More Info: Come out and enjoy a nice hike/walk or run with a CARE rescue dog and make some new friends in the process. This is great fun and socialization for the doggies and humans too! This event is amazing and you will want to come back again and again, once you have met these awesome rescue dogs. We have many dogs in rescue, young, older, small, medium, large, so there is one for everyone's interest and needs. Just let us know when you sign up, in the comment section, what size and energy level of dog you would like to walk, so we can match you with a dog. The more who volunteer means the more doggies that get to come!
