Jim Koury is a seeker of personal truth, and desires to empower oth- ers to find their own personal truth, whatever it may be. He is also an ac vist who is not afraid to speak his mind, and ruffle some feath- ers, if necessary. His main objec ve is to get people to think and think for themselves. He espouses Aristotle's mantra, "It is the mark of an educated mind to en- tertain a thought without accep ng it." Jim does not force his views on others but just puts them out there for folks to think about and discard if they wish. Welcome to the October issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. We are trudging right along are we not? Holy cow! The holiday season will soon be upon us. This month's feature is a very talented entertainer named Roman, and the release of his new song en- tled, "All Mine." It is a song about reclaiming his independence. A Los Angeles na ve, Roman was discovered at the age of 7 singing The Nanny song from Mary Pop- pins at a talent show produced by the daughter of acclaimed television producer of Loveboat, Jerome Courtland. It was a moment that would define the di- rec on, educa on, and every decision Roman would make from that point on. Roman has teamed up with So Fierce Music and world renown music producer Velvet Code for his latest singles, including his newest "All Mine.", Over- coming Bullying, and Crea ng A Life Worth Living. This October issue also contains some other great ar cles and features, including regular contributor Stu Schwartz, with his Sans Clothing column. Speak- ing of Stu, just a reminder that his book, "Lights On-- Clothes Off: Confessions of an Unabashed Exhibi on- ist," is now FREE. See page 12 for more details. Migguel Anggelo also returns with an ar cle about his La nXOXO Tour. It has been extended with new dates. Sounds like an entertaining show for sure. If you can catch a show, I would recommend it. Let us know what you think if you do! October is the month when the ghouls, witches and goblins come out of hiding. I hope you have a great Halloween. I know many celebrate it sacrosanctly! It is a fun me, and one in which to just have fun and enjoy yourselves. We certainly need that me to laugh and spend me with friends, especially in these nu y mes we live in. See you in November!
