GIVING 2023/2024
Since 1980, Cumberland Community Foundation has
been helping donors improve the quality of life for all in
Cumberland County, N.C. Since 2020, we have partnered
with CityView and local charitable organizations to present
this Guide to Giving and to promote GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity celebrated on the
first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Every year, people across
the world come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have. Cumberland
Community Foundation is working with the charitable organizations in this directory to make it easy
for you to "give local" and support their important missions.
Visit our website www.cumberlandcf.org at the end of every November to learn more about
GivingTuesday and make gifts. Cumberland Community Foundation will amplify your gifts on
GivingTuesday with matching funds provided by our generous matching donors.
CCF's GivingTuesday catalog will be open for donations from November 20 – November 29, 2023.
During that time, CCF will be matching $500,000 in gifts received – so this is a great way to have

Cumberland Community Foundation can receive many types of gifts, including:
• Credit card* gifts through the online catalog at www.cumberlandcf.org
• Checks* payable to Cumberland Community Foundation
• Gifts from IRAs* made directly to CCF (if the donor is 70.5 or older)
• Gifts from donor advised funds*
• Stocks and securities*
• Real estate
• Gifts in wills
• Beneficiary designations on investment accounts, trusts, and insurance
*CCF's matching funds will amplify your gifts with any of the first five gift types (credit card, checks, IRA gifts,
DAFs, stocks) as long as they are completed during the GivingTuesday campaign.
