Buddy was born on January 24, 1936, in Kings Mountain, NC. He was the son of the late Gillie Falls, Sr. and Lallage Warlick Falls Holtschulte. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Pearson Falls, brother, Gillie Falls Jr., and sisters Jackie Falls Ruddock, Jo Ann Falls, and Sarah Katherine Falls Cobb. Mr. Falls served our coun- try in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his daughter, Subetha Falls Lancaster and husband Chris of Spartanburg, SC; a grand- daughter; a great-grandson; brothers, David Falls and wife Lena of Johnson City, TN and Jack Hamrick and wife Barbara of Hilton Head, SC; and sister, Diane Falls Swift of Spartanburg, SC. Born in Cleveland County, on June 26, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Ophus Grayson Newton and Effie Louella McNeilly Newton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by RAMONA PREWITT HOBBS Ramona "Dee" Prewitt Hobbs, age 84, of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Dee was born Thursday, March 16, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Robert Edward Prewitt, Sr. and Mary Quinn Womick Prewitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earnest Edward Prewitt, Paul Wesley Prewitt, George Oliver Prewitt, Robert Edward Prewitt, Jr. and sisters, Annie Maude Strickland, Ava Lois Crawford and Mary Ellen Brennan. Those left to cherish her memory include her hus- band, James Hobbs; daugh- ter, Anita Fay Ledbetter Russell (Bob) of Burwick, PA; sons, Jason Robert Ledbetter (Erin) of Bostic and Tim Ledbetter (Peggy) of Spindale; her twin sis- ter, Rachel "Lee" Cope of Forest City; stepson, Ricky Hobbs of Sandy Mush; step- daughters, Teresa Owens of Missouri, Gail Hobbs of Ellenboro; eleven grand- children and sixteen great- grandchildren. She was born in Cherry Valley, AR, April 26, 1942, to the late John and Essie Elizabeth Stacy. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, E. David Havner. Maribeth is survived by her children: Melissa Tubbs of Shelby, NC, Michael Hubbard and wife, Connie of Waxahachie, TX, Lorri Bridges and husband, Vance of Shelby, NC, and Danny Baker and wife, Rebecca of Ash Flat, AR; her sis- ter, Nancy Havner of Rock Spring, GA; her brother, James (Buddy) Stacy and wife, Liz, of Harrisburg, AR; and nine grandchildren, nine- teen great grandchildren. On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm, there will be food and fellowship, and at 3:00pm, a time set apart to celebrate and reflect on Maribeth's life. Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was son of the late James Lewis Warlick and Ruby Burton Warlick. He is survived by his wife, Judi Warlick; children: Suzette Yow (Jay) of Monroe, Steve Warlick (Betty) of Anderson, SC; stepchildren: Toni Kim "T.K." Alexander of Kings Mountain, and Bryan Bradshaw of Charlotte; sib- lings: Gail Garner (Alvin) of York, SC; and seven grand- children.
