Working with partners at the Uni- versity of California, Irvine and the University of Michigan, PBS will also release interactive episodes that integrate AI-assisted conver- sations, with "Lyla" asking ques- tions and responding to viewers' answers through the use of re- sponsive AI technology. Series creator/executive produc- er/showrunner Dave Peth ("Design Squad") said in a news release: "Kids are natural creative prob- lem-solvers, experimenting and in- vestigating the world around them with joyful curiosity. 'Lyla in the Loop' celebrates and encourages kids and the grownups in their lives to recognize those innate abilities and see them as a power- ful tool to help others, express themselves and solve all kinds of problems in everyday life." Fellow executive producer and head writer Fracaswell Hyman added: "Finding stories and issues our audiences can relate to is para- mount to creating the relatable world of Lyla Loops. When viewers can connect to and identify with characters, they're more likely to absorb and retain the curriculum.
