Sandy was born on July 19, 1947 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Oscar "Bud" Blanton and Margaret Poovey Blanton. Survivors include her husband, Joe Dismukes of the home; a son, Tim Dismukes and wife Noelle of Greenville, NC; a daughter, Pam Dismukes Nixon and husband Kent of Belmont; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Susan Oliver and husband Jim of Mooresville and Donna Lail and husband Steve of Lincolnton. A celebration of life service was held August 26, 2023 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Zack Christy officiating. SHIRLEY TUCKER WYLIE HENSON Shirley Tucker Wylie Henson, 83, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Born in Blacksburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Preston Tucker and Clara Smith Tucker. Surviving Mrs. Henson are her daughter, Linda (David) Lavender; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Kay Parker (James) and Joann Sullivan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her children, Calvin Wylie, Roger Wylie, Katherine Horn; a grandson; her first husband, Lester Wylie; her second husband, Thurmon Henson; and her siblings, Louise Deaton, Sybil Tucker, Edna Tucker, Lloyd Tucker and Floyd Tucker. Born in Cleveland County, on July 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert "Buck" Elbridge Bridges and Bessie Eugenia Wright Bridges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Andrew "Andy" Bridges and Jack Blair Bridges. Survivors include her hus- band, Billy Elias Bingham; son, Gregory Bingham of Vicksburg, MS; daughter, Melissa Koch and husband, Grady of Yorktown, VA; sis- ter, Linda Walker and hus- band, Robert of Lawndale; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Bridges and Panola Bridges; and two grandchildren.
