Join us at the Neal Center for an "END OF SUMMER" DANCE THURSDAY, AUGUST 31, 2023 6 PM AT THE NEAL SENIOR CENTER 100 T.R. HARRIS DRIVE, SHELBY "END OF SUMMER DANCE" IS SPONSORED BY PHIL & SHARON JACKSON, LOCAL AGENTS WITH UNITED HEALTH CARE MUSIC PROVIDED BY "UNION EXPRESS" Advance tickets are available for $6.00 until August 29 at 3 pm, at the Neal Senior Center Reception Desk. Afterward, tickets will only be sold at the door for $8.00 each. (NO RESERVING TICKETS!) A minimum of 50 tickets must be sold to hold the dance THE NEAL CENTER'S CANASTA GAME IS CATCHING ON! AND THERE'S STILL PLENTY OF ROOM TO JOIN! If you think you've missed your chance to join the Neal Center's new "Canasta" card game group, you can still join! The group will meet on these dates and times in September: GET A HEAD-START ON PREPARING FOR THE HOLIDAYS BY MAKING YOUR OWN WREATHS! Once again, the Neal Center is offering classes in making holi- day wreaths. There will be a series of four classes. Two will con- centrate on making a beautiful Christmas wreath. The other two will show how to make bows to give your work a finishing touch and to decorate for fall. Artist Suzette Proffit will teach the class and will meet on the following days: • Tuesday, September 19, 12 pm-3 pm • Tuesday, October 17, 12 pm-3 pm (bow making) • Tuesday, November 21, 12 pm- 3 pm • Monday, December 11, 12 pm- 3 pm A supply list will be available at the Reception Desk, explaining the necessary supplies to complete the project.
