Betty was born Tuesday, June 2, 1936 in Lockhart, SC to the late Matthew Hopper Wright and Gillie Jeanette Hamm Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jamup" Pruett; a grandson; a brother, William R. Wright; and sisters, Annie Mae McCraw, Athaleen Snipes, Mabel Rudisell, Beulah Fisher, Irene Fowler and Wilma Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Joni Pannell (Cos) of Dobbinsville and Jill Baker (Johnny) of Polk County; son, Jimmy Pruett (Donna) of Ellenboro; sis- ter, Sadie Rabb of Spindale; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held July 14th at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Adkins and Reverend Eugene Passmore officiating. Interment fol- lowed at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. ANN BROOKS Ann Brooks, age 69, of Mooresboro, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. Ann was born Tuesday, November 24, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Dorothy Blackwell Spicer. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, James Spicer and several brothers and sis- ters.
