Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of Clyde "Jim" and Linda Brown Wilson. In addition to his parents, surviving Mr. Wilson are his sons, Christopher "Brian" Wilson and David "Brock" Wilson; his grandson; and his sister, Kim Wilson Keeter. Funeral services were held July 10, 2023, in the Gordon Mortuary chapel with Rev. Sam Adams officiating. Interment was at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. LARRY RANDALL STROUD Larry Randall Stroud, 85, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. Born in Cleveland County, on February 19, 1938, he was a son of the late Emmett Cole Stroud and Grace Price Stroud. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Stroud and a brother, Lanny Stroud. He is survived by his wife, Janet Stroud; two sons: Kevin Stroud and wife, Tammy of Fallston and Neil Stroud and Myra of Grover; two sisters, Malinda Washburn and Sandra Stroud both of Shelby; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Roger McCraw (Pat) of Mooresboro, NC; two daugh- ters, Linda Petty of Gaffney and Ginger Burleson (Scott) of Mooresboro; five grand- children; eleven great-grand- children; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre- ceded in death by a grand- son; a daughter-in-law, Jane McCraw; a son-in-law, Larry Petty; two brothers, Horace Bartee and Johnnie Ray Bartee; and two sisters, Velia Humphries and Doris Matheny. Jones. BRENDA LUETTA CARPENTER FULBRIGHT Brenda Luetta Carpenter Fulbright, 76, of Hickory, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Born in South Carolina on July 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earvin Carpenter and Ruby Thelma Crotts Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Dale Fulbright; two broth- ers, Reuben Carpenter and Olin Carpenter; and a sister, Phyllis Davenport. Survivors include two sons, Michael Fulbright and wife, Rebecca of Hickory and Brent Fulbright and wife, Teresa of Vale; sister, Wanda Willis of Morganton and three grandchildren.
