The young woman is immune to the illness and may become the source of a vaccine, which is why the smuggler has to get her to her intended destination. That won't be a simple matter, since they encounter revolutionaries, survivalists and numerous other individuals who largely complicate their journey. Other cast members who turn up in the tale for various durations include John Hannah, Anna Torv, Gabriel Luna, Melanie Lynskey, Nick Offerman, Graham Greene, Storm Reid, John Getz, Elaine Miles and Ashley Johnson. The show was such a success from the outset, it's no surprise that a second season has been ordered … though it could take a while for that to arrive, given delays related to the writers' strike. *** (Not rated: AS, P, GV) (Also on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD) "My wife and I talked about it [working with real-life daughter Vivian]. We knew we were going to be shooting over the summer and she [Vivian] needed a job… Working with her on the audition, I thought, 'this would be a fun person to work with.'" - Tim- othy Olyphant, during the premiere of "Justified: City Pri- meval" last month at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas. "I think for me, I probably blocked out the reality that it was ending until the very last day... very unhealthi- ly, I should have planned better ... It was some of the most fun I ever had in my life." - John Krasinski, in an interview with "E! News" about wrap- ping Prime Video's "Jack Ryan" series. "I would say this season, there's a lot of big things that happen. Each character goes on a massive ride. There's a lot of great guest stars, there's a lot of big action. The char- acters get involved in a bunch of different adventures. There's a whole new character in the mix that Eliz- abeth Perkins plays, she's a really great character. So if you like the ride of 'Minx' Season 1, this season gets even bigger." - Jake Johnson, in a 2022 interview with Elle magazine about Season 2 of "Minx," premiering this week. Priyanka Chopra Jonas stars as a woman grieving her fiance's death, and still sending messages to his cell phone. She doesn't realize that the number now belongs to a reporter ("Out - lander's" Sam Heughan) who's working on a story about Dion, and he takes the occasion to ask the music superstar for advice on how to proceed with the situation. Expectedly, a number of Dion's tunes are featured on the soundtrack. Russell Tovey ("Being Human") co-stars; Chopra's husband, Nick Jonas, also appears. *** (PG-13: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) "YOUR HONOR: SEASON TWO" Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") wraps up his latest series role in the final round of this intense Showtime drama, adapted from an Is- raeli show. His New Orleans judge character pays a price, in a number of ways, for having tried to conceal his son's earlier actions – but he gets a chance at redemption by serving as a covert informant on underworld activities. He's also able to use that position to try to settle some personal scores, though there's no guarantee that will end well for anyone. Hope Davis, Michael Stuhlbarg, Isiah Whitlock Jr,, Carmen Ejogo and Margo Martindale also reprise their first-year roles, with Rosie Perez joining the cast. A complete-series set also is available. *** (Not rated: AS, P, V) "EAST OF EDEN" One of the most classic of all Warner Bros. movies makes its debut in the 4K Ultra HD format as part of the studio's 100th-anniver- sary celebration. Directed by Elia Kazan, this 1955 adaptation of the last portion of the John Steinbeck novel is one of the three films that James Dean became most known for, pri- or to his untimely death; he plays troubled Cal Trask, who contends with his brother (Richard Davalos) for the affection of their stern father (Raymond Massey) during the era of World War I. Family relations become even more strained when Cal attracts the romantic inter- est of his sibling's girlfriend (Julie Harris). Burl Ives, Jo Van Fleet and Albert Dekker also are in the fine cast of the drama. An audio com- mentary by film critic and historian Richard Schickel is included. **** (Not rated: AS, V) "MOONHAVEN" Though this sci-fi series had been slated for a second season on AMC+, the streaming service ultimately decided not to proceed with that, so the show is presented in its complete form in this home-video release. Dominic Monaghan ("Lost") plays a detective working in a colony established on the moon, where artificial intelligence is used to try to solve the troubles of a resource-depleted Earth. The effort may not work, though, as younger residents on the lunar surface get ready to go to terra firma with the supposedly beneficial information they have accumulated. Emma McDonald, Amara Karan, Ayelet Zurer, Ka- deem Hardison ("A Different World") and Joe Manganiello also are among the saga's stars. *** (Not rated: AS, P, V) "SUPERSTORE: THE COMPLETE SERIES" (JULY 25) "RESIDENT EVIL: DEATH ISLAND" (JULY 25) "FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF" (4K ULTRA HD) (AUG. 1) "CINDERELLA" (4K ULTRA HD) (AUG. 1) "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3" (AUG. 1) Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in "The Last of Us" Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3"
