He was born October 22, 1945, in Cleveland County to the late John Howard Foster and Willie Rhea Huffstetler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dean Huffstetler and Gerald Kenneth Foster. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Ann Boone Foster; daughters and son-in- law, Darlene Crosby, and Michelle and Kellie Crotts; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A funeral service was held July 4, 2023 at Midview Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Rice and Pastor Mike Rote officiating. MELANIE DAWN WILLIS BEHLES Melanie Dawn Willis Behles, 52, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Born in Cleveland County, on April 7, 1971, she was a daughter of Gary Edward Shuford and Robin Dawn Pennington Shuford. In addition to her parents she is survived by her hus- band, David Behles; three children, Reegan Behles, Riley Behles, and Mallory Behles all of New Paris, IN; three brothers, Gary Shuford II and wife Leigh of Charlotte, Daniel Shuford and wife Kim of Atlanta, and Brian Shuford and wife Amie of Charlotte; and two sisters, Terri Evans and husband Randy of Shelby and Heather Behles of Des Plaines, IL. Surviving Mrs. Newton are her children, Noreen (Kenneth) Cash of Boiling Springs, SC, Tawanna (CE) Meadows of Gaffney, BARBARA ANN WORTMAN WILLIAMS Barbara Ann Wortman Williams, 83, of Lawndale, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born in Cleveland County, on April 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Lawton David Wortman and Lula Mae Carpenter Wortman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Gayle Williams. She is survived by her husband, David Richard Williams; a son, Mike Williams and wife Pam of Shelby; two daughters, Debbie Eaker and husband Gary of Shelby and Tammy Newton and husband Joel of Casar; brother-in-law, Floyd Williams of Casar; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The funeral service was held July 2, 2023 in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Judy Cook Ledford officiating. AMBROSE ZANE YARBRO Ambrose Zane Yarbro, 98, of Vale, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Born in Lincoln County, on November 20, 1924, he was a son of the late Bert Guylo Yarbro and Bertha Sain Yarbor. Mr. Yarbro served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corp During World War II. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Irene Lackey Yarbro; son, Chris Yarbro; and seven brothers and sis- ters, Raymond, Nora, Loy, Clara, Hazel, Lillian and Flay. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Willis and husband Sherrill of Lawndale; five grandchil- dren; five great grandchil- dren, and one great great grandchild.
