He was a son of the late J.A. Jamison and Lillian Philbeck Jamison, of Cleveland County. Johnny is survived by his wife, June Jamison. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter, April Rachelle Sprague and two brothers, James and Don Jamison. MARTHA SUE RHINE- HART Martha Sue Rhinehart, 89, passed away on June 20, 2023. Martha Sue Rhinehart was born on April 23, 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Smiley" Myers and Willie Myers, brother and sister-in- love Bill and Joann Myers, brother and sister-in-love Jerome and Sally Grant, sons Gene Goins, William Tesner, son and daughter- in-love Dean and Robbin Goins, stepson-in-love Bill White, four grandsons; and husbands: Jack Goins, Clifford Isaiah Tesner and Charles Rhinehart. She is survived by her husband David, Bessemer City, NC and Debby Goble and husband Robert, Clover, SC; siblings: Calvin Whittington (Betty), Clyde Whittington (Sandy), Daisy Parker, Esther Dawson, Marjorie Rogers, all of Georgia and Elaine Baker (Thomas) of South Carolina; two grandchildren; five great Grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. FORREST AMON COOK Forrest Amon Cook, 75 of Polkville, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his residence. Born in Cleveland County on September 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Julius Clemmie Cook and Susan Dale Cook. Mr. Cook served our coun- try in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded in death by five broth- ers, Javan Cook, J.C. Cook, Tonnie Cook, Bill Cook and John Cook and a sister, Bertha Swink. Survivors include two sons, Thad Cook and wife, Judy of Lawndale and Noel Cook and wife, Amber of Shelby; two brothers, Harrell Cook and wife, Mary of Shelby and Darrell Cook and wife, Cathy of Claremont; and three sisters, Vernie Willis of Lawndale, Juanita Allen and husband, Thad of Shelby and Diane Blanton of Mt. Holly; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service was held June 29, 2023 at Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wedgeworth officiat- ing. sons and daughters-in- love Clifford and Brenda Tesner, Mark and Donna Tesner; stepdaughter, Geraldine White; brothers and sisters-in-love Bob and Martha Myers, Allen and Betty Myers, and David and Sheryl Myers; seven grand- children; fourteen great- grandchildren; and a great- great granddaughter. KATIE BELL Katie Bell, 92, of Shelby, NC, passed away on June 21, 2023. She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late George Pinkney Wilson and Virginia Blanton Wilson. In addition to her late par- ents, Katie is predeceased by her husband, Broadus Bell; daughter, Julie Power; brothers, Albert, Coleman, Harold, George Jr.; and Woodrow Wilson; and sister, Barbara Hardin.
