The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, June 9, 2023 20 By Dana Simpson TV Media Doctor's orders: Chances are that each and every one of us has experiences an itch, a rash or a skin condition of some kind at least once in our lives, but what of the more per- sistent and pesky skin afflic- tions? From eczema to keloids and beyond, Dr. Emma Cray- thorne has been helping pa- tients find relief at her derma- tological practice in London, England. Now heading into its fifth season, Craythorne and her team prepare to battle a whole new selection of dan- gerous, ugly and uncomfort- able maladies. Season 5 of "Save My Skin" premieres Wednesday, June 14, on TLC. Ever since the series' debut in 2019, Craythorne has been getting up close and personal with the most infectious, an- noying and disfiguring skin ab- normalities, and this new sea- son is no different. While those who have seen the show will already know what to expect, TLC described the new season in such a way that may make even the most loyal "Dr. Pimple Popper" devotees tune in, stat- ing that Craythorne continues "[u]sing cutting-edge technol- ogy and tried and tested meth- ods of popping, slicing, and squeezing, [as] she helps peo- ple get their lives back." The new episodes see the dermatology team at 152 Har- ley St. in London facing some familiar conditions, such as al- lergic reactions and simple dermatitis, along with some real stumpers. More specifical- ly, according to PremiereDate. News, "a few mystery condi- tions ... put Emma's skin sleuthing skills to the test" as she tries to suss out a diagno- sis and get to the root of the is- sue to prevent it from occur- ring ever again. Craythorne's love for her job is also always evident as she frequently takes to her social media accounts (her Insta- gram, @dremmacraythorne, appears to be her platform of choice) to announce new de- velopments and share her gratitude. Don't miss the fifth-season premiere of "Save My Skin" when it airs Wednesday, June 14, on TLC. realtalk Dr. Emma Craythorne from "Save My Skin" The Pine Shop 6x7.5 The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, June 9, 2023 20 By Dana Simpson TV Media Doctor's orders: Chances are that each and every one of us has experiences an itch, a rash or a skin condition of some kind at least once in our lives, but what of the more per- sistent and pesky skin afflic- tions?
