De-clu ering helps us to remove the nega ve so the posi ve can en- ter. Purging/De-clu ering helps us to feel calm and peaceful. This might be the perfect me to de-clu er our stuff and emo onal clu er for our next chapter in life. When we have too much clu er in our lives, we become stressed out, overwhelmed, and stagnate. When people talk about clu er, they talk about physical clu er in your homes, offices, closets, etc. For me, when we talk about clu er, we must look at the emo onal clu er first. Emo onal clu er causes physical clu er. If you only remove the physical clut- ter but don't deal with the emo onal clu er in your head, the physical clu er will eventually re-appear. Here are some ps on De-clu ering your life: Why we have so much physical clu er: 1. We live in a society with so much stuff- our society has created a world where we can get stuff rela vely easily, quickly, and cheaply. You don't even need to leave your house to accumulate stuff. 2. We use material stuff as a sign of success. The bigger the house, the more expensive car, the de- signer labels, etc., all equal success in our country. This makes people think the more stuff we have, the happier we will be. This is not true. Material stuff, power, status, tles, etc., bring a boost of short-term happiness, but for long-term happiness, we need things money can't buy. 3. We clu er our lives up with so many things to do. We are always running around following a to-do list. Clients have expressed to me that if they aren't busy, they are not being produc ve, or if they aren't busy, they will be listening to their own thoughts or get bored, and both are op ons people don't want. We need me to refresh and refuel by being in silence and listening to our own thoughts. With boredom comes crea vity and curiosity. Don't occupy your me with filler ac vi es.
