Helen was born on May 19, 1931 in Moore County, NC to the late Earl and Eva Carter Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill McDaniel and by her brother, Jerry Morris. Helen is survived by her daughter, Suzie Terres (Mike); son, David McDaniel (Dorothy); two grandchil- dren; three great grandchil- dren; her sister, Laura Laine Huskey (Bob); sisters-in-law: April Morris, Libby McDaniel and Becky McDaniel; and brother-in-law, Durwood McDaniel. She is survived by her husband, Fred Parker Smith; son, Richard Smith and wife, Lisa of Casar; two daughters, Karen Gold and husband, Clyde of Shelby and Lisa Bridges of Marion; four brothers, Dale Bivins of Gastonia, Glenn Bivins, Tommy Bivins, and Randy Bivins all of Lawndale; a sister, Pat Sanford of Lawndale; six grandchil- dren; and a great grandson.
