With shows such as "Hell's Kitchen," "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" and "Gordon Ramsay Uncharted," the Scottish chef has traveled to share his experience worldwide. Now, Ramsay is on the hunt for the next big name in food. "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars" premieres Wednesday, May 24, on Fox, following the Season 13 premiere of "MasterChef." In this new series, Gordon makes his way out of the kitchen and into the boardroom, trading in his cast iron skillet and cutting board for revenue reports and marketing meetings, this time putting his own wallet on the line. An American adaptation of the British TV series, "Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars," the show follows Ramsay as he looks to find the next culinary entrepreneur he'd like to (personally) financially support, offering the most impressive contestant $250,000 to follow their dreams. Ramsay tests these hopeful entrepreneurs in every facet of running a successful busi- ness, challenging contestants at every phase of production, from initial marketing to product development. "The aspiring moguls will be challenged in all aspects of running a food enterprise, including creating, marketing and selling to real customers. ... As Ramsay pushes con- testants to their limits, they'll have to prove they possess the raw ingredients required to succeed – drive, dedication, creativity, passion and talent," Fox said of the series in a news release. Ramsay explained further in an interview with Variety: "I've hand-picked some of the most promising culinary innovators to compete for not only my investment but my partnership in business. They will have to hustle through tough challenges, break through and set themselves apart from the other competition, and make noise to prove they have what it takes to be successful." Joining this season's inaugural compe- tition are: Aaron Valentine, founder of Snow Cone King; Caroline D'Amore, CEO of Pizza Girl Inc.; Elisa Strauss, owner of Confetti Cakes; Jake Aronskind, founder of the cooking app Pepper; Kagen Cox, owner of Kagen Coffee & Crepes; Lan Ho, owner of Fat Miilk; Queen Precious-Jewel Zabriskie, spice purveyor of Indulgent Es- sential Spices; Sydney Webb, co-founder of Toto Foods, Inc., and more. To see who receives the $250,000 (and who earns the most iconic insult), tune in for the premiere of "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars," airing Wednesday, May 24, on Fox. what'scooking tastytv BY CAROLINE COLLACUTT Ramsay returns: Gordon entices entrepreneurs in 'Food Stars' Gordon Ramsay hosts "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars" 7:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 8 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 8:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 9 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 9:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 10 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 10:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives Saturday 5 p.m. FOOD Chopped 6 p.m. FOOD Chopped 7 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 7:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 8 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 8:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 9 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 9:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 10 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 10:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 9 p.m. FOOD Summer Baking Champion- ship 10 p.m. FOOD Chopped 10:30 p.m. YTA Chas- ing Down Madison Brown Tuesday 5 p.m. FOOD Chopped WFYI Pati's Mexican Table 6 p.m. FOOD Chopped 7 p.m. FOOD Chopped 8 p.m. FOOD Chopped 9 p.m. FOOD Super- market Stakeout 10 p.m. FOOD Chopped Wednesday 5 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games 6 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games 7 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games 8 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games WTHI2 WXIN Mas- terChef 9 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games WTHI2 WXIN Gor- don Ramsay's Food Stars 10 p.m. FOOD Guy's Grocery Games Thursday 5 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay WFYI Ellie's Real Good Food 5:30 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 6 p.m. FOOD Ciao House 7 p.m. BRAVO Top Chef FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 7:30 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 8 p.m. BRAVO Top Chef FOOD Beat Bobby Flay WTHI2 WXIN Gor- don Ramsay's Food Stars 8:30 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 9 p.m. BRAVO Top Chef FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 9:30 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 10 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay 10:30 p.m. FOOD Beat Bobby Flay Friday 5 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 5:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 6 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 6:30 p.m. FOOD Din- ers, Drive-Ins and Dives 7 p.m. FOOD Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Call Today!
