Jordan reprise the title role in this latest chapter of the boxing-dra- ma franchise — spun off from the "Rocky" series — but he also makes his directorial debut on the film. Adonis "Donnie" Creed feels obligated to help an ex-con friend (Jonathan Majors) pursue a career in the ring after the latter's release from prison, but the more Creed finds out about his acquaintance, the more trouble he sees coming from their renewed association … which also brings their past back in a highly uncomfortable way. Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris and Phylicia Rashad also return as their "Creed" characters. *** (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "This group definitely came to play the game, and here's the truth about 'Survivor' — great players make for great seasons. It's really that simple. I think we got it right this time!" – Jeff Probst, host of "Survivor" on CBS, in an interiew with Entertainment Week- ly about Season 44 "I don't think any of us are walking away [from the show], but it's going to be very hard to convince any of us to be in the same room." – Scheana Shay of "Vanderpump Rules," seen recent- ly on "E! News," on where the cast stands ahead of a possible Season 11 "This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me." – Blake Shelton of his 12- year tenure as coach on NBC's "The Voice" BY JAY BOBBIN Family Viewing Ratings AS Adult situations P Profanity V Violence N Nudity GV Graphic Violence "SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS" Zachary Levi ("Chuck") gets back into DC Comics superhero mode in this special-effects-loaded adventure sequel, playing the powerful alias of young Billy Batson (Asher Angel), who transforms when he utters the right word … check that title again for it. The ancient Daughters of Atlas give him and his allies a huge challenge, returning to claim the magic they feel they were robbed of, and the situation means particular peril for Billy and his family. The cast also includes Adam Brody, Helen Mir - ren, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler ("West Side Sto- ry") and Lucy Liu. *** (PG-13: P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "BONANZA: THE OFFICIAL COMPLETE SERIES" One of television's most iconic Westerns gets a full-series DVD release, with the episodes (well over 400 of them) newly re- mastered. Lorne Greene stars as Ben Cart- wright, patriarch of the Ponderosa Ranch and also of three disparate sons: Adam (Pernell Roberts, who left the show after the sixth of its 14 seasons), Hoss (Dan Blocker) and Little Joe (Michael Landon). Boasting a famous theme song, the drama was among the first programs to be broadcast in color, doing much to spark sales of sets that could receive it that way. Guy Wil- liams, David Canary, Mitch Vogel and Tim Matheson were among performers who joined the series in later years. An includ- ed extra disc compiles curios related to the show and its stars, such as talk-show ap- pearances, Landon's visit to Sweden and a U.S. Savings Bonds commercial featuring Greene and Blocker. ** (Not rated: AS, V) "MASTERPIECE: TOM JONES" An Oscar-winning 1963 movie long has kept the romantic bawdy exploits of the ti- tle Englishman famous and popular on film, but this limited-series adaptation of Henry Fielding's novel — being released on DVD right after it finishes its PBS telecasts — has time to expand on the 18th-century life and lives of Tom, played here by Solly McLeod. Though many women respond to his good looks and charm, only one (portrayed by Sophie Wilde) truly has his heart, making her more or less his compass on his many adventures with the opposite gender. "Ted Lasso's" Hannah Waddingham appears as one of Tom's would-be paramours; James Fleet ("Four Weddings and a Funeral"), Shirley Henderson and Alun Armstrong also are in the cast. *** (Not rated: AS) "SEAL TEAM: SEASON SIX" A tragic loss is part of what Bravo Team must endure in this most recent round of the drama series, the first of its seasons to be completely streaming-only. The opening story sees the unit caught in an ambush, the results of which will stay with peers and loved ones to deal with for quite some time. Series star David Boreanaz directed one of the episodes here, and former cast member Jessica Pare returned to direct another. Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley and Toni Trucks also are featured. Hallmark Channel movie staple Rachel Bos- ton reprises her recurring guest role. DVD extras: "making-of" documentaries; deleted scenes; outtakes. *** (Not rated, AS, P, V) "A GOOD PERSON" (MAY 30) "65" (MAY 30) "TRANSFORMERS LIMITED EDITION STEELBOOK 6-MOVIE COLLECTION" (MAY 30) "THE EVENT: THE COMPLETE SERIES" (JUNE 6) "TULSA KING: SEASON 1" (JUNE 6) Michael B. Jordan in "Creed III" "Shazam! Fury of the Gods"
