She was born in Jackson County, GA, daughter of the late H. Melvin and Annie Bell Pheagin Cash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce W. Hamrick; a son, Steve Alan Blanton; step-sons, Tim A. Hamrick and Kyle Hamrick; a grandson; three sisters, Peggy Cash, Hazel Wray, Reba Davis; and four broth- ers, Hal Cash, Herman Cash, Boyce Cash, and Chester Cash. Mrs. Hamrick is survived by her sons: Keith Blanton and Phillip Blanton (Kathy), Kings Mountain, NC; step- son: Eric Hamrick, Kings Mountain, NC; brothers: Paul Cash (Rhonda), and Kenneth Cash (Robin); sis- ter, Jenny Dennis; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were held May 6, 2023 at El Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastors Bo Wagner and Paul Cash officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. PEGGY LYNN BEASON Peggy Lynn Beason, 70, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Nell Robbs Beason. She was also prede- ceased by three brothers- in-law, Frank Holtzclaw and Odus Greene of Cliffside and Donald Lewis of Shelby. Left to cherish her memo- ries are five sisters, Patsy Lewis, Norma Greene, Barbara Frazier and husband Claude, Martha Holtzclaw, Rita Watson and husband Joe; and two brothers, Donald Beason and wife Gail, Ronald Beason and wife Kay. CAROL ANN HERZOG MARKS Carol Ann Herzog Marks, 81, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born to the late Ernest Herzog and Freida Schimph. She is also pre- deceased by her husband, James Albert Marks; broth- ers, Augie Herzog, Ernie Herzog and Freddie Herzog; and sisters, Eleanor Roach and Laura Lycan. In addition to her par- ents she was predeceased in death by her husband, Clyde; her son, Van; two grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
