SUBSCRIBE SUBSCRIBE online online The Butch Melton Garden in the Main Street Park, Rutherfordton, was visited Friday night by Butch's son Scott Melton (right), her daughter, Kim Melton (center) and Kim's wife Cindy Sylvester. The family attended the fi rst public event in the Park since it was refurbished by Rutherfordton Town Council and in partnership and support from family and friends and Rutherfordton Public Works. At Friday's night Food & Brew, the Melton family also added some plants to the garden that was planted by Dot Abrams and Lindy Abrams at the request of the family. The Dance of Hope of Uganda, Africa was among the special guests for the event that brought many to the Park and to the Melton Garden. In last week's story Cindy was misidentifi ed.
