Night Shyamalan. With their captors insisting that the end of the world is near, the visitors are faced with making a devastating sacrifice so that the others can survive. And if the group can't make that choice themselves, their tormentors will make it for them. Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, former "Harry Potter" staple Rupert Grint and Abby Quinn also star. DVD extras: four "making-of" documenta- ries; deleted scenes. +++ (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "(Gemma, Behrs' character) has worn a lot of hats, espe- cially her relation- ship to motherhood I think Tichina's (co-star Arnold) character, Tina, and Gemma have really gone on a journey in their friendship ... but also what (Gem- ma has) learned from Tina as a moth- er. That's something super-special that I've seen play out on this show." – Beth Behrs of "The Neighborhood" on CBS "It was something I had wanted to do for a really long time, and I guess I just wasn't ready before." – Amanda Peet of "Fatal Attraction" on Paramount+, on having been a writer and execu- tive producer on the Netflix series "The Chair" "Sometimes, I'll look back and think, 'I can't believe they let me sing some of those songs!' There was a Whitney Hous- ton song in there and a Sara Bareilles song, and I'm glad I was able to do it. I'm really proud of those performances." – Hayley Orrantia, seen recently on "The Goldbergs" on ABC, on having been the runner-up on Fox's "The Masked Singer" in Season 7 BY Family Viewing Ratings AS Adult situations P Profanity V Violence N Nudity GV Graphic Violence "SUPERMAN 1978–1987 5-FILM COLLECTION" The 1978 epic that launched the Chris- topher Reeve-starring movie franchise has been available in 4K Ultra HD for several years, but in this new set, it's joined by the three sequels in that format. The collection – being released as part of the celebration of Warner Bros.' 100th anniversary – has its fifth film with a separate edition of "Super- man II," the so-called "Richard Donner Cut" assembled from material shot by that director before he was replaced on the first sequel by Richard Lester. Lester stayed on for "Su- perman III," and the last picture in the series was "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace," with a story co-authored by Reeve. Addition- al cast members over the course of the series include Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Margot Kidder, Ned Beatty, Valerie Perrine, Glenn Ford, Richard Pryor, Annette O'Toole, Robert Vaughn, Mariel Hemingway and Jon Cryer. +++ (PG. AS, V) "YELLOWSTONE: SEASON 5, PART 1" What will happen with the second half of the Paramount Network drama's fifth sea- son remains to be seen, due to a reported dispute between the show's makers and star Kevin Costner over the filming schedule, but at least this already televised first half moves the modern-Western saga forward consider- ably from where Season 4 left it. While John Dutton's (Costner) new job as governor of Montana has residual effects for his entire family, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Kayce (Luke Grimes) are among those who also have long-standing demons of their own to deal with. +++ (Not rated: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray) "CHILDREN OF THE CORN" Inspired by a Stephen King story, a du- rable horror-movie franchise gets a reboot from this version written for the screen and directed by Kurt Wimmer ("Law Abiding Cit- izen"). The script explains why a Nebraska town's youngsters rise up in unison against their area's adults, whose lack of care for the region's crops may have an enduring and highly undesirable impact on the young- er generation. Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer and Bruce Spence ("The Road Warrior") are among the stars. DVD extras: deleted scenes. +++ (R: AS, P, GV) (Also on Blu-ray) "UNWELCOME" A lot of Irish culture infuses this horror tale, revolving around a couple who relo- cate from city life to a rural locale situated next to supposedly haunted woodlands. They're told that creatures called Redcaps will emerge from that dense area to help those in need of aid – but there's a price to pay for that assistance, and that might be too high. Cast members include Han- nah John-Kamen, Douglas Booth and Colm Meaney. +++ (R: AS, P, GV) (Also on Blu- ray) "NOVA: ANCIENT BUILDERS OF THE AMAZON" As the PBS science series has shown nu- merous times, stories of cultures and civiliza - tions often can be told through examinations of their architecture. So it is again with this recent episode of the show, as remaining Amazonian structures suggest that com- plex strategies were in play as those who undertook the construction in early times merged various aspects of their world into their work. The results also indicate what the religious life of the people of the related era was like, with experts on the subject discuss- ing provable facts and informed theories. +++ (Not rated) "ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA" (MAY 16) "MOVING ON" (MAY 16) "BONANZA: THE OFFICIAL COMPLETE SERIES" (MAY 23) "CREED III" (MAY 23) "SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS" (MAY 23) "A GOOD PERSON" (MAY 30) Nikki Amuka-Bird and Dave Bautista in "Knock at the Cabin" "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania"
