She is survived by her sig- nificant other of 15 years, Scott Bowen of Shelby, NC, her sister, Robin Kiser (John) of Shelby, NC, her children, Tabatha Nantz (Cody) of Boiling Springs, NC, and Brandi Bunch (John) of Shelby, NC, a niece, Dr. Stephanie Kiser of Boston, MA, and a nephew Matt Kiser (Abby) of Statesville, NC and their children Corban and Callie Kiser, grandchil- dren, Mackenzie Nantz, Carly Bunch, and James Bunch. Born October 14, 1963, in Cleveland County, NC, Beth was the daughter of the late Joseph Morgan Cabaniss and Betty Jo Mode Ledford. Beth, known as "GaGa" to her grandchildren and "Boofie" to her family, had a compassionate heart and loved everyone uncondition- ally. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She found great joy in her niece and nephew, Stephanie and Matt Kiser. Beth was passionate about causes and people that she believed in. She saw the good in all situa- tions and brought laughter to everyone. A memorial service was held April 6, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Rash and Rev. Tom Runyon. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Shelia Kay Collins Hastings; two sons Chad Hastings and wife Joy and Jason Hastings all of Shelby; two sisters, Patricia Dedmon and hus- band Alton of Forest City and Donna Silver and husband, Jerry of Polkville; and five grandchildren.
