The Le- gionnaires chuckled with him. "And that's okay. I am here to help and make a difference. The red cap identifies me as the Na- tional Commander, and I am one of you. You can take that to the bank." Afterward, National Commander Troiola went around the room, shaking hands and speaking to veterans with the ease of someone who had been a member of the Post his whole life, like he was talking to dear friends.
