Jim Koury is a seeker of personal truth, and desires to empower oth- ers to find their own personal truth, whatever it may be. He is also an ac vist who is not afraid to speak his mind, and ruffle some feath- ers, if necessary. His main objec ve is to get people to think and think for themselves. He espouses Aristotle's mantra, "It is the mark of an educated mind to en- tertain a thought without accep ng it." Jim does not force his views on others but just puts them out there for folks to think about and discard if they wish. Welcome to the April issue of Diversity Rules Maga- zine. Time is marching forward pre y fast, eth? But the good news is that spring has sprung! This month's feature is a return engagement featuring "Naked Boys Singing." I did a feature of the original show in the May 2012 issue. Wow. That is 11 years ago. YIKES. LOL. The new cast features American Idol contestant David Hernandez who also appeared on a cover of Diversity Rules Magazine in the December 2018 issue. The long running off-Broadway hit, Naked Boys Singing!, made its triumphant Off-Broadway return in March with a brand-new produc on starring, as I men oned, American Idol's David Hernandez and the first body posi ve naked boy. "For close to 25 years, our show has celebrated the male form with a lot of laughs and no costuming," says producer Tom D'Angora, "but our brand-new produc on spotlights the beauty of all men's shapes and sizes." Plus-sized gender-fluid actor Dom Giovanni (He/Them) makes their off-Broadway debut in the produc on, joining David Hernandez (American Idol), Jaden Lux (Naked Boys Singing Las Vegas), and Gregory Sullivan (Naked Boys Singing, A Musical About Star Wars and NEWSi- cal). Presented by husbands Tom D'Angora and Mi- chael D'Angora, Naked Boys Singing! is high-camp musical theater. The 60-minute show features a cast of five handsome "boys" with gorgeous voices and hilarious comedic ming. There are no costumes and no underwear… it is simply Naked Boys Singing! As usual the April issue also inclueds some great fea- tures and the regular columnists, such as Diane Lang, Stu Schwartz and Tony Guadagnino. I hope you enjoy the issue and see you in May!
