www.negociosnow.com 8 March 2023 Age:27 Title: President Organization: Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Edgar Candelas is the current president of the Northwest His- panic Chamber of Commerce, a chamber dedicated to suppor- ting Hispanic small businesses in suburban Chicagoland. Can- delas has been involved with NWHCC for several years and served on its board before beco- ming president in 2022. Under his leadership, the organization has experienced significant growth by helping small busi- nesses through programming, advocacy, collaboration and by offering other business resour- ces. Candelas' passion for fi- nancial literacy stems from his personal experience as a small business owner. Alongside his uncle, he operated a logistics business in Chicagoland that ultimately failed due to a lack of resources and coaching. Given access to the resources available today, their business might still be operating. This experience inspired Candelas to study fi - nance and make a difference in the community by ensuring that all Hispanic businesses have ac- cess to the resources they need to succeed. Edgar Candelas is also an Assistant Vice President at Ba- rrington Bank & Trust (Wintrust Community Bank), with over 8 years of engaging the Hispa- nic community by identifying opportunities & providing so- lutions that help establish solid financial foundations. Edgar is responsible for new small busi- ness development, driving new initiatives on programing, and identifying opportunities for strategic growth specializing in Small business Finance. Edgar Candelas WORDS OF WISDOM: "F ight to give back to your community, and strive to make a difference because that's what you will be remembered for.". Dedicated to growing Hispanic businesses
