" Mama Corral Age: 30 Title: Founder Organization: Retirement Systems After years of dedicating himself to producing successful finan- cial outcomes when managing risk and reward within finance, Richard Corral founded an in- dependent wealth management company (Skyward Wealth) and then a registered investment ad- visory firm and insurance agen- cy: Retirement Systems. He did all this in his 20s, becoming one of the first few young minority founders of these types of firms. Next he's working on a revolutio- nary financial technology plat- form: Advanced Advisor. Corral and Retirement Sys- tems were recently recognized by Crain's Chicago Business magazine for providing qua- lity financial services. Corral has also received the regards of Citadel executives for desig- ning plans that serve the best interests of clients. Early in his career, Corral worked in the hedge fund di- vision of CME Group/Chicago Board of Trade, which handles more than $1 quadrillion per year of advanced financial ins- truments such as options and futures. At Grant Thornton, a top five global public accoun- ting and financial services firm, and CVC he performed valua- tion services by constructing buy/sell side purchase price allocations and stock option models for public/private com- panies and private equity firms. Corral belonged to Aon's finan- cial leadership program where he supported efficiency, re- conciliation, and reclassments of several billion per quarter. Corral graduated cum laude in finance at DePaul University in downtown Chicago. Corral was raised by a hard- working Mexican family that included his entrepreneur father Everardo, his mother Martha, and older sister Eira, now an elected official. His father encouraged Corral at a young age to learn about tra - ding stocks since as an immi- grant, it was more feasible for Everardo to be involved in real estate and construction. Richard Corral
