Melissa was born Friday, September 16, 1960 in Lakeland, FL, to the late Ray Bridges and Jewel Hensley Lackey. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Guy Lackey; an infant son, Ethan Michael Gettys and her brother, Mike Bridges. Those left to cherish her memory include her hus- band, Mike Gettys; daughter, Amy Murray (Adam); sons, Jason Gettys and Matthew Gettys all of Ellenboro; and three grandchildren. James was born Saturday, December 30, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late James Luther Porter and Ora Biggerstaff Porter. Mr. Porter served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded in death by a grand- son, and a brother, Richard Porter. Doris was born Wednesday, May 16, 1962 to the late Glenn Harrison Fisher and Thelma Mallie Walker Fisher. Born in Gaffney, SC on December 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Samuel Clyde Goforth and Ruby Rebecca Montgomery Goforth. Mr. Goforth served our country in the U.S. National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Johnny Goforth, Frank Goforth, Bill Goforth, Preston Goforth and Hugh Davis Goforth and two sis- ters, Judy Hill and Margery Stubbs. Born in Cleveland County, NC on September 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Roy Landrum Brackett and Hettie Queen Brackett. Mr. Brackett served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil L. Brackett, Talmadge Brackett, Garland Brackett and Bill Brackett and a sis- ter, Lula Mae McNeilly. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Wright Brackett; two sons, Glenn Brackett and wife, Teresa and Gary Brackett all of Casar; a daughter, Sandra Mosteller and husband, Scotty of Casar; step-son, Johnny Poole and wife, Angela of Casar; step-daughter, Vickie DuJardin and hus- band, Donald of Shelby; sis- ter, Margie Price of Casar; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
