He was the son of the late Jesse Wilbert and Altas Burnett Hunsinger. Mr. Hunsinger served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Thomas Hunsinger; sister, Carolyn Pennington; brothers, Dr. Charles Hunsinger and Cecil Hunsinger. He is survived by his wife, Ina Hunsinger; sons, Jeff and John Hunsinger of Shelby; step-sons, Dean Wright and wife Susan of Raleigh and Ricky Wright and wife Anne of Columbia, SC; step-daughter, Wendy Rogers of Greensboro; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were Mr. Montgomery was pre- ceded in death by a sister, Joanne Turner a brother, Chuck Montgomery and a niece, Debbie Duffie. Funeral services were held March 25, 2023 at Gordon Mortuary with Rev. Nathan Price and Mr. Andy Montgomery officiating. Interment was at Grover City Cemetery. BARBARA HAMMET SHUFORD Barbara Hammett Shuford, 83, passed away on March 18, 2023. Born in Cleveland County on April 4, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Martin Van Hammett and Frances Lovelace Hammett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Warren Shuford. Survivors include her husband, Dwight Howell Shuford; son, Richard Dwight Shuford of Marietta, GA; two daughters, Sandra Shuford Satterfield and hus- band Doug of Shelby and Lisa Shuford Batca and hus- band Ron of Raleigh; two brothers, Larry Hammett and wife Pat of Mooresboro and Ronald Hammett and wife Kathy of Cliffside; sister, Joyce Shuford of Lawndale; and four grandchildren.
