Jan Cook photo. Continued from front page. He has no complaints, although he suffers from Agent Orange, was hospitalized, had heart surgery, later a pacemaker and is also a survivor of prostate cancer. Logan says he has had a good life. He is living it for the Lord. Among his proudest moments as a Vietnam veteran came about two and a half years ago when he participated in the Blue Ridge Honor Flight program and was able to fl y to Washington, DC with a group of other veterans to view all the war memorials and receive recognition for their time spent in the service. When the veterans got off the airplane in Asheville after their Honor Flight, they walked into the airport terminal and saw something they had not expected. "I started crying. When we came back from Vietnam no one was there, but this time everyone was there waiting for us. I couldn't believe it. My wife, children and grandchildren. I didn't think they would be there for us. They were there. We were home." Doug and Victoria Logan.
