Junior Quade Morton was named to the First Team all Pac. Morton led the chargers in scoring. he av- eraged 17.9 points a game, 5.2 re- bounds, 2.7 assists and two steals a game. he joined Trent sisley of hh, Bry- cen neidigh of Washington, cale donoho of ss, Jackson Graff of nP, nicot Burnett of Mt. Vernon, Jaxun Lamb of Gibson so., Jake Fuller and clay conner both of Boonville on the first team. Fellow charger junior Julian Gish was named to the second Team all Pac. Gish averaged 15.5 points a game, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals. The other second team members were: Ty Brown of s. spen- cer, drew duPont of Tecumseh, reid howard of Forest Park, Tate White- head and Mick Uebelhor both of southridge, Jace Jenkins of Princ- eton, Kaydin duvall of ss and Jace Berg of Forest Park. senior Kendric sorgius, who missed much of the season with a hand injury suffered in the first game of the year, was named to the honor- able Mention all Pac team. sorgius averaged 15.3 points a game, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, one steal and one blocked shot a game. Other honorable mention selec- tions were: colton sowers of Wash- ington, cole McKee of Gibson so., reginald McIntire and edwin holmes of Princeton, Landon Wells of s. spencer, Jackson clowers of Mt. Vernon, colen hopf of hh, colin schipp of n. Posey and cooper aign- er of Boonville. "I was very happy to see our guys Pike central senior delaney Welch was named to the girls basketball all state academic team. Welch on the court averaged two points per game, two rebounds and one steal for the chargers. Off the court she sported a 4.462 grade point average. Senior Delaney Welch named to basketball All State Academic team Delaney Welch By andy heuring Pike central's boys and girls mid- dle school swim teams placed sec- ond in a triangle meet with Jasper and Tecumseh. Jasper won both the boys and the girls. Julian hay picked up the boys' on- ly win, swimming a time of 39.19 in the 50 backstroke. hay placed fourth in diving and he also teamed with Joshua smith, cainian russell and Tyler collins to place second in the 200 medley relay. smith collected two individual third place finishes for the chargers with a third in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:54.52 and third in the 50 breaststroke in 43.86. russell placed second in the 50 breast in a time of 42.39 and third in the 100 individual medley in 1:34.54. collins placed fourth in the 50 free. he also teamed with russell, smith and Ben Bolin to place sec- ond in the 200 free relay with a time of 2:30.59. he teamed with nathan deffendoll, Isaiah harvey and hay to place third in the 400 freestyle relays. deffendoll also placed fourth in the 100 individual medley. Ben Bolin placed fifth in the 50 free. Isaiah harvey had fourth place finishes in the 100 free and 50 back- PCMS swim teams place second at triangle meet with Jasper and Tecumseh Cainan Russell pops out of the water during a breaststroke event. He finished second in the 50 breaststroke for Pike Central. a starter for the 4a state cham- pion Bedford north Lawrence girls basketball team has ties to Pike county. Mallory Pride scored 11 points for the Bedford north Lawrence in their in 46 -42 win over Fishers in the state championship game. she was named to the all Tourna- ment team at every level of the state tournament: sectional, regional, semi-state and state finals. Mallory was the MVP of the sectional and re- gional as well and earlier in the sea- son she was named the MVP of the hall of Fame classic Tournament. she is the daughter of chris and amy Pride. chris is a Pike central graduate.
