elcome to the annual Santa Cruz Sentinel
Readers Choice, where the readers of the
Sentinel let us know who they think are the
best in our county!
I was recently reviewing the last few annual Readers
Choice magazines and what I wrote in this space.
Unlike the last two years, I can finally say here that we are
(mostly) back to normal.
This year we used a new voting platform that did not
allow people to stuff the ballot box.
I feel this turned out well as it ended up making the
results be more of what the overall community felt.
As always, we had Tara Fatemi Walker write three great
stories for this publication. For one of the stories, we
decided to highlight a specific region and this year it was
about SLV. The other two stories were tied to new categories
we added by popular demand this year. Seafood Market,
which made perfect sense for our region and Meal Prep
Delivery. With busy folks wanting to eat healthier, this was
a perfect article for our region.
