Andrew Pope of Boy Scout Troop 129 in Spindale just completed leading his community service project, one of the requirements for the Eagle Scout Award. Andrew planned and led to completion the construction of swings designed especially for handicapped children visiting Kiwanis Park in Rutherfordton, said troop leader Terry Henderson. Landscaping was added around the swings. After completing the project, Andrew met with the Rutherfordton Town Commissioners to show the fi nished product.
