Incrediwear products increase circulation to reduce infl ammation & swelling, relieve pain, restore mobility, and accelerate recovery. Unlike compression products, Incrediwear products do not need to compress to work. Instead, our technology incorporates semiconductor elements within our fabric that releases negative ions when stimulated by body heat. The negative ions activate cellular vibrations that increase blood fl ow and speed. Increasing circulation helps bring more oxygen and nutrients to the target area, which optimizes the body's natural healing process and accelerates post-operative recovery. "This sorority has been my home since being in college and has blessed me with the most loving, genuine girls. Balancing social life on top of a rigorous schedule is not easy, but I knew my mental health, studies, and days to reset came fi rst," she said. As an R-S Central junior Kennedy participated in the DYW program and was named Rutherford County's DYW for the Class of 2022. She also graduated from R-S in 2022 and began attending UNCC in the fall where she is majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in dance. Kennedy also enjoys photography, fi tness, traveling, hiking and spending time with her loved ones and her mini- labradoodles. She, her dad and sister Carrie spent the Christmas vacation out West visiting National Parks. It was the fi rst holiday without Carla. The best advice Kennedy has received to this day came from mom. "She told me, 'Your life is never yours if you always care what others think'." She also says Ephesians 4:32 from the New Testament is advice she lives by every day, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Kennedy hopes others will remember to hug their loved ones and to always check up on those who matter the most. Selected DYW of Rutherford County in 2022. C o m m u n i t y organizations have from today until February 6 to apply for Safe Routes to School grant funding, the N.C. Department of Transportation announced. "Communities can use the funds to develop creative programs that educate community members about safe driving, walking and biking practices near schools," said Ryan Brumfi eld, director of the Integrated Mobility Division, the unit of NCDOT administering the grants. "This an important way to improve child safety and promote the healthy benefi ts of walking and biking." Those eligible to apply for grants include local governments, regional transportation authorities and planning organizations, state agencies, school districts and schools, nonprofi t organizations and tribal governments. Proposals should be designed around a collaborative program that works to reduce the number of bicycle and pedestrian injuries and fatalities, and promotes safety through education, encouragement and evaluation. Safe Routes to School is a Federal Highway Administration program that encourages a healthy and active lifestyle by facilitating the planning, development and implementation of projects and activities that improve safety and reduce traffi c, fuel consumption and air pollution near schools.
