Sherri Papini (Jaime King), a young wife and mother, disappears
while jogging near her home, leading to national headlines as concerned
citizens search for her whereabouts. Reappearing three weeks later,
Sherri claimed she was abducted and repeatedly abused. But four years
later, evidence revealed her kidnapping was all a hoax so she could
spend time with an ex-boyfriend. She was arrested and sentenced to 18
months in prison for lying to federal agents in this 2022 docudrama.
