Jim Koury is a seeker of personal truth, and desires to empower oth- ers to find their own personal truth, whatever it may be. He is also an ac vist who is not afraid to speak his mind, and ruffle some feath- ers, if necessary. His main objec ve is to get people to think and think for themselves. He espouses Aristotle's mantra, "It is the mark of an educated mind to en- tertain a thought without accep ng it." Jim does not force his views on others but just puts them out there for folks to think about and discard if they wish. Welcome to the January issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. The start of another year is upon us, and we can only hope it brings peace and contentment, a er so many years of turbulence, fear, and worry. Covid is s ll with us, but seems to be aba ng, and becoming something we must resign ourselves to living with. Please con nue to get vaxxed, and live your lives with some semblance of normality that is comfortable for you. We have no other choice but to carry on, and adapt to our changing world, and the issues that influence it. This month's feature is a bit different than in the past. Its focus is on a unique and very popular event that happens every year. Centaur Motorcycle Club's Mid-Atlan c Leather Weekend is an annual fes val weekend that a racts thousands of leather men, kinksters, fe sh-lovers and curious spectators from all over the world to Washington, D.C. over MLK weekend. This year's fes- vi es begin Thursday, January 12th and run through Sunday, January 15. Once again, the KINETIC team of local DC party producers - Zach Renovátes, Dougie Meyer, and Jesus Quispe (Q) - have partnered with MAL to produce KINK: four official events headlined by eight of the world's leading fes val DJs. Boot- camp, UNCUT XL, discoVERS XL and the weekend's main event, KINETIC: KINK, will take place at various venues throughout Washington, D.C. Tickets for all KINETIC events are available now at www.kine cpre- sents.com. If kink is your thing, or you have an interest in it, then this event is for you! There is a host of other great ar cles and features in this month's issue that will sure to pique one's in- terest. Have a good read, and as always, if anyone is interested in contribu ng some material to be in- cluded in future issues, then contact me and let me know what you have! I sincerely wish and hope you all have a joyous New Year, and can grasp on to a bit of happiness and con- tentment in a somewhat toxic environment we live in now. The most important thing to remember this New Year is to just be true to yourselves. Live your truth openly and honestly. If you can do that, then nothing else really ma ers. People will say and do what they want, and will judge others as they see fit. Ignore it all, and just live your lives the way you want to live it. Have a great January. We will see you all in February, as the New Year takes hold, and unfolds. Hopefully, on a more even keel for us all. Peace out, peeps. My Two Cents A Message From The Editor James R.
