Alan was born Sunday, July 26, 1970 in Rutherford County to Wanda Simmons Mills who resides in Green Hill and the late Larry Earl Ross. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Chris Ross Jury; paternal grandparents, and maternal grandparents. Besides his mother, those left to cherish fond memo- ries are his daughter, Alison Ross of Bostic; son, Ben Ross of Shelby; companion, Jenny Buchanan of Shelby; sister, Regina Rhodes (Tommy) of Green Hill; and a grandson. Born In Warren, OH, he was the husband of Linda Markley Mason and the son of Leo Mason and Agnes Mason. In addition to his wife, sur- viving Mr. Mason are his chil- dren, Dean Boyce of Ohio, Debbrah (Lisa) Sanders of Kentucky, James Sanders of Blacksburg, Mike (Hycianth) Mason of Tennessee, Jeremy Mason of Indiana, Veronica (Jon) Carpenter of Ohio, and Dakota (Paola) Sanders of Blacksburg. He is survived by his mother, Ms. Agnes Mason of Florida; eleven grandchil- dren, ten great grandchil- dren; five brothers; and one sister. Mr. Mason was preceded Grigg of Kings Mountain and Katie Holbrooks and hus- band, Kevin of Cherryville; brothers, Harold McSwain and wife, Judy of Shelby and Mike McSwain and wife, Carol of Fallston; five grandchildren; and a great- grandson. Funeral services were held December 23, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. Burial followed in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Jennifer was born Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Cleveland County. She was preceded in death by her paternal grand- mother and great-grandfa- thers. In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include three broth- ers, Phillip Michael Thomas Parker, Jackson Garrett Dean Ross and Malakai Kove Greene all of the home; paternal grandfather; paternal great-grandmother; maternal grandparents; and maternal great-grandmoth- er. Billy was born Wednesday, September 7, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Wilburn Shytle and Sudie Millwood Dufault. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Dufault and a sister, Kathryn Winkler. Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Wilma Smart Shytle; daugh- ter, Julia Pruett (Wayne) and son, Gary Dean Shytle (Angie) all of Ellenboro; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sis- ters, Jackie Allen of Forest City, and Frances Difatta (Tommy) of Lincolnton; and a brother, Marshall Shytle (Glenice) of Dallas, NC. LARRY FRANKLIN WILLIAMS Larry Franklin Williams, 84, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. Born in Gainesville, GA, he was the son of the late Dock and Mary Lou O'Dell Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lonnie, Marvin and Johnny Williams; and sister, Dot Brown. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Scoggins Williams; sisters, Beck Licht and Linda Worthy. Funeral services were held December 22, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Chapman and two brothers, Marvin Hudson and Gene Hudson. She is survived by her son, Donnie Chapman and wife Tiffany of Shelby; daugh- ter, Janice Kay Brown of Casar; three brothers, Clyde Hudson, Roy Hudson, and Joe Hudson all of Casar; a sister, Dessie Fay Smith of Casar; five grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
