Cook, Sr., age 83, of Rutherfordton, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022. Larry was born May 11th, 1939, in Alabama to the late Grover and Mattie Cook. He was preceded in death by all his siblings. Left to cherish fond memories are his former wife, Delilah Cook; son, Larry Cook, Jr.; daugh- ters, Georgianna Huffer, Lisa Silver, Lilah Cook and Jennifer Price; five grand- children and one great grandson The Family will have a Private Service at a later date. CATHERYN LOVELACE DEYTON Catheryn Lovelace Deyton, age 83, of Mooresboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born May 25, 1939 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Robert and Clara Byers Lovelace. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons; Dan Deyton, Jeff Deyton and wife Dani, Lester "Butch" Deyton Jr. and Mark Deyton and his wife Beverly; one daughter, Karen Deyton Mullinax and her husband Chic; ten grand- children; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one broth- er, Jimmy Lovelace; and four sisters; Pat Lovelace, Lillie Mullinax, Debbie Hyink and Jean Godfrey. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Deyton, two brothers Bobby Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, one sister Betty Littrell, two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. No other services are planned at this time. SYBIL DOBBINS BEASON Mrs. Sybil Dobbins Beason, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Born in Cleveland County on March 2, 1949, Mrs. Beason was the daughter of the late Kenneth Melvin and Mary Lee Dixon Dobbins. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Dawn Beason, and one brother, Melvin Dobbins. Mrs. Beason is survived WILMA MARIE FORREST Wilma Marie Forrest, 88, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on November 10, 2022. She was born in Rutherford County, NC, daughter of the late Adam and Ollie McDaniel and was preceded in death by her husband, John Forrest Sr.; son, Terry Guin; daughter, Teresa Guin; three brothers, Franklin, Samuel, and Roger McDaniel; two sisters Louise Smith and Pat Mitchell, and a grandson. She is survived by her sons: John Forrest Jr. (Michelle) of Boone, NC and Keith Guin (Glenda) of Thomasville, NC; her sibling survivors are Ruthell Huss (Carrol) of Monroe, NC, Brenda Dellinger (Michael) of Cherryville, NC, Larry McDaniel (Phyllis) of Dallas, NC, Wayne McDaniel (Tona) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Debra Craig of Cherryville, NC; and four grandchildren. JUDY KAY (OWENS) WRAY Judy Kay (Owens) Wray, 79, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022. A native of Cherokee County, she was born to William (Bill) Owens and Lula Rhea (Ramsey) Owens on January 7, 1943. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister-in- law, Margie Wray Ledbetter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Douglas Ervin Owens, Harry Eugene Owens, Doris Owens Earls, Sybil Owens Goodson, Bobby Neal Owens, Joe Byron Owens, Libby Owens Childers and Buddy Wayne Owens. A Celebration of Life Service was held November 12, 2022, at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church with Rev. Gregg Martin officiat- ing. Entombment follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. JOYCE EARLY TUCKER Joyce Early Tucker, 83, of Gold Hill, NC, passed away on November 9, 2022. She was born in Gaston, NC, to the late William Grayson Early and Georgia Elma Ross Early. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Tucker, five brothers, and two sisters. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her sons: Kent Tucker and wife Tammy, Gold Hill, NC and Vern Tucker and wife Cathy, Alexis, NC; and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren Memorial service was held November 17, 2022 in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tom Early and Caleb Kennedy officiating. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Bennett King and older brother Donald Depriest. She is survived by her two sons, Bennett S. King and wife Karla, of Asheville and Dr. P. Brent King and wife Sheda, of Huntersville; two daughters, Jessica K. Schroeder and husband Corey, of Richmond, VA and Emily Vonpfahl of Shelby; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Born June 4, 1928 in Gaston County, NC, Elva was the daughter of the late James Clyde Strickland and Kate Mullinax Strickland and was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Jennings and a brother, James Strickland.
