Dennis was born on May 29, 1954 in Cleveland County, NC a son of the late Odus Alfred Arrowood, Sr. and Jeanette Hayes Arrowood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Craft; one sister and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Jane Woods Arrowood of the home; two sons, Bryan Craft and wife Danielle; John Craft all of Cherryville; a daughter, Holly Alexander and husband Chris of Matthews; two sisters, Sue Lovelace of Kings Mountain and Ann James of Ellenboro; a brother, Eugene "Bucky" Arrowood of Ellenboro; 10 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. A graveside service was held Sunday, November 6, 2022, Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherryville with Rev. Ronnie Lackey officiating. Allen was born Friday, MARY ELLEN McKEE WELLMON Mary Ellen McKee Wellmon, 91, Shelby, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Born in Cleveland County, NC on June 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Horace Shafter McKee and Ruth Grigg McKee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Wellmon and three brothers, Glenn, Hillard, and Gene McKee. Survivors include her son, Gary Wellmon and wife, Susan of Shelby; daughter, Monty Vassey and husband, Scott of Shelby; a grandson; two step grandsons; brother, Roger McKee; and six great grandchildren. A graveside service was held November 10, 2022 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Padgett officiat- ing. LARRY MITCHELL QUEEN Larry Mitchell Queen, 81, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Born on October 7, 1941, he was a son of the late George Ivey Queen and Amanda Cook Queen. Mr. Queen served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. A graveside ser- September 7, 1945 in Cleveland County to the late T.C. Humphries and Ella Bradley Humphries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Bud and David Humphries and sisters, Imogene Alexander and Ann Snyder.
