SAVE YOUR SOUL." The future of a Southern church is in doubt after its leaders become embroiled in a scandal in this satire written and directed by Adamma Ebo, who expanded her same- named short subject for this film. The pastor (played by "This Is Us" alum Sterling K. Brown) is found not to be practicing what he literally preaches, so he and his wife (Regina Hall) set out to repair their own images and that of their place of worship. They recruit a documentary crew to trace that process, but the filmmakers observe and record more than the couple would like. Moreover, another couple (Nicole Beharie, Conphidance) is planning to open their own rival church. Hall and Brown also are producers of the movie, along with "Get Out" and "Nope" colleagues Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya. ››› (R: AS, P) (Also on Blu- ray, Digital and On Demand) "EUPHORIA: SEASONS 1 & 2" Zendaya won a Primetime Emmy Award for each of the first two seasons of this frequently frank HBO drama series about the lives of a group of teens. Inspired by an Israeli program, it largely revolves Zendaya's character Rue, a recovering addict whose circle includes close relations and acquaintances whose relative closeness to her sometimes shocks her, even when she thought she had a clear read on that. Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira and Sydney Sweeney also are in the excellent cast. The show, which has alarmed some viewers (and even some critics) with its unapologetic candor, has been renewed for a third season. ››› (Not rated: AS, N, P) "HOLIDAY INN" One of the most beloved of all holiday movies makes the conversion to 4K Ultra HD with its latest home-video edition. The Irving Berlin- fueled musical that led to "White Christmas" (with that song introduced by this 1942 film) features Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire as entertainers at an inn open only on holidays, though they have to get beyond a love triangle that also involves their former showbiz partner (Virginia Dale). Another woman (Marjorie Reynolds) eventually enters the scene and ups the romantic stakes. Also on the soundtrack are "Easter Parade," "Happy Holiday," "Be Careful, It's My Heart," "You're Easy to Dance With" and "Let's Start the New Year Right." ›››› (Not rated) "FRIENDS: THE ONE WITH ALL THE HOLIDAYS COMPILATION" The hugely popular sitcom had a lot of fun with the end-of-year holidays, and as the title of this release promises, relevant episodes are gathered together. That accounts not only for Christmas but also Thanksgiving, for which one story centers on the creation of a very memorable English trifle prepared by Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) ... and incorporating both whipped cream and meat, to the relative horror of everyone except Joey (Matt LeBlanc). One of the show's first holiday tales involved Ross' (David Schwimmer) adoption of the monkey Marcel, and a later one concerned Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) dismay over the selling of Christmas trees. Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry also star. ››› (Not rated: AS) "LIFETIME ULTIMATE HOLIDAY MOVIE COLLECTION" As virtually anyone who watches television during the holiday period knows, Lifetime is one of the cable networks that makes appropriately themed fare its be-all and end- all. No less than 50 – count 'em! – 50 of its seasonal films are gathered in this set, many featuring very familiar faces. One example is "Mistletoe in Montana," with Melissa Joan Hart (who's directed by Kellie Martin) as a ranch operator finding romance with one of her guests. Another of the more recent titles is "Miracle in Motor City," with Motown legend Smokey Robinson playing himself as he's sought to perform at a Detroit fundraiser. The stories done so far in the "Merry Liddle Christmas" franchise, featuring Kelly Rowland, also are included. ››› (Not rated: AS) "TOP GUN: MAVERICK" Just as it became the top hit of 2022 at the movie box office – by far – this long-awaited sequel to Tom Cruise's naval-aviator classic Is sure to make its mark loudly on physical home media in the last weeks of the year. Still bucking authority as a test pilot, and paying a professional price for it, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is assigned to train a new class of Top Gun flyers, one of them being the son (Miles Teller) of his late co-pilot Goose. There's a natural tension between the two men, due largely to a promise made by Maverick that is hindering the younger man's career. Jennifer Connelly also stars as an ex- flame with whom Maverick reunites, with Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro and Ed Harris also appearing ... and Val Kilmer reprising his "Iceman" role from the original film. As it was the first time, the bountiful aerial footage is thrilling. Special features on the digital version include a featurette on Cruise at the picture's Cannes Film Festival premiere. ››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu- ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) Jennifer Connelly and Tom Cruise "Being in every scene is really, really fun. ... If there's even an episode where I'm not working every single day, I'm going to freak out. I need to be on set, I need to be working." – Drake Rodger of "The Winchesters" on The CW " i t w e g n n D W "It's usually the ageless, single female who is available to fall in love with whoever comes along, (but) being a mom adds such a layer of richness to any character I could play." – Kellie Martin, seen recently in "An Amish Sin" on Lifetime, about the kinds of parts she often has in cable movies " s a w b a c – r o o c "I've got to tell you, I am now addicted to producing ... just addicted. I love helping to create my character and the story, and having input on how to shape them." – Erin Cahill, seen recently in "Christmas Bedtime Stories" on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries " I to a to a h to C i S M
