He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Shank and Aileene Sneed Sellers and was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, John, and Nelson Sellers and a son, Terry Sellers. Mr. Sellers served our coun- try in the US Army. BETTY JEAN MORRISON TRAMMEL Betty Jean Morrison Trammel, age 88, of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She is survived by two step- children, David Trammel and Scotty Trammel. Born May 20, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC, Betty was the daughter of the late Charlie and Alpha Hamrick Morrison and was preced- ed death by her husband, W.C. Trammel; five sisters, Eunice Parker, Mary Frances Holland, Sarah Lou Swink, Gladys McSwain, and Ruby Weaver; and a brother, Pete Morrison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 1184 Rocksprings Road, Blacksburg, SC conducted by Rev. Joseph McGaha and Rev. Dale Welch. Born on September 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Chester A. Caton and Lilly Mae Rice Caton. In addition to her par- ents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sister, Martha Magnuson. Shirley is survived by her husband, Wilbur Ray McBride; her children: Randy McBride (Giselle), Rhonda Hamrick (Rodney), and Daniel McBride (Lisa); and her eight grandchildren. Burton Funeral Home with the arrangements. TERRY S. STACY Terry S. Stacy, 81, of Blacksburg, passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2022. Born in York, SC, he was the husband of Carolyn Putman Stacy and the son of the late Leonard and Reitha Wisher Stacy. Mr. Stacy served our coun- try in the U.S. Army National Guard. Eric Sellers offi- ciating. Interment was at Clingman Memorial Gardens. JOEL BENNETT MAUNEY Joel Bennett Mauney, age 93, passed away on October 13, 2022. Born in Cherryville, NC on August 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Floyd Lee Mauney and Lula Beam. Mr. Mauney served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Joel was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Mauney; and five siblings: Robert L. Mauney, Harold H. Mauney, Marie Bookout Nestlerode, and Ruth E. Mauney, all of Cherryville, and Ray D. Mauney of Gainesville, GA. Joel is survived by his son, Duane Joel Mauney; and a sister-in-law, Eloise Mauney of Cherryville. A funeral service was held October 19, 2022 at the chapel of Cecil M. Jeanne is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Lee Eskridge, wife, Ella of Atlanta, GA, Kim Eskridge, wife, Beverly of Marietta, GA, and Lydia Wilson, husband, Larry of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jeannette Brackett McCurry; two sons, Jimmy McCurry and wife Crystal of Lawndale and Danny McCurry and wife Wanda of Lawndale; one step daughter, Tina Wilson and husband Brandon of Casar; one brother, Billy Ray McCurry of Lawndale; and three grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Arrowood; and five sisters. Dot is survived by her son, Jerry Arrowood and daugh- ter Cheri Kay Arrowood, as well as, five grandchildren, seven great grandchild, and two great-great grandchildren.
