He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late John B. and Betty Wyatt Anderson. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Cynthia Clark Anderson, of the home; chil- dren: William Ted Anderson of Navarre, FL, and Kristin Nicole De Lascurain and hus- band Andres of Austin, TX; two grandchildren; and broth- er, Dean Anderson and wife Jan, Dallas, NC. GEORGE MORRIES MORGAN George Morries "Buddy" Morgan, 69, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Born in Cleveland County on January 15, 1953, he was a son of the late William Forrest Morgan, Sr. and Worlden Dakota Boone Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Morgan and two sisters, Worlden Rebecca Morgan Byers and Jenny Philbeck. He is survived by three daughters; three sisters, Mary Mayhew and husband Jim of Shelby, Ann Gossett and hus- band Clevie of Mooresboro and Johnnie Allen of Shelby. The funeral service was held September 15, 2022 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Shores officiating. Burial was private. Born in Mecklenburg County, on November 7, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Willie C. Preslar and Sally Mae Clontz Preslar. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Bridges and a brother Ralph Preslar. She is survived by two sons Richard Bridges and wife Carol of Greenville, NC and Wayne Bridges and wife Debra of Lawndale; a brother, Donnie Preslar of Charlotte; four grandchildren and three great grandchil- dren. Born in Cleveland County, October 30, 1934, Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of the late Shelton Jones and Barbara Lee Davis Cabaniss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Weaver, eight brothers and sisters, Helen Cabaniss, Wilber Cabaniss, Eubert Cabaniss, Elmo Cabaniss Rev. Guy Cabaniss, Beuna Kirby, Mary Lee Camp, and Paul Cabaniss. BENJAMIN RICHARD CARPENTER Benjamin Richard Carpenter, 93, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was born May 20, 1929 in Waco, NC, to John Jacob Carpenter and Claudia Lee Williams Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter served our country in the U.S. Navy. Ben was prede- ceased by his par- ents, his wife, the former Alma Mae Thrift and his son, John David Carpenter of Easley, SC. He is survived by a daugh- ter, Gayla Lynn Carpenter Bucher (Bill) of Salisbury, NC, daughter-in-law, Myra Kay Jacks Carpenter of Easley, SC; five grandchil- dren; and eight great-grand- children.
