Arnold "Curly" Sanders Jr., 82, of Blacksburg, passed away on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. Born in Blacksburg, SC, he was the widower of Doris Broome Sanders and the son of the late Arnold Sr. and Luella Cooper Sanders. Surviving Mr. Sanders are two sisters, Karen West of Blacksburg and Betty Reeves of Summerville, SC. No services are scheduled at this time. GROVER GREEN Grover Green, age 74, of Mooresboro, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022. Grover was born Monday, December 1, 1947 in Hickory Grove, SC to the late G.C. Green and Grace Brindle Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Green and four sisters, Marilyn Epley, Gail Bailey, Eunice Gay Chapman and Marsha Hope Lunsford. Left to cherish fond mem- ories are his wife, Patricia "Pat" Green; children, Charles Green (Bonnie) of Mooresboro, Tracy Green of Mooresboro, Tammy Jones of Forest City and Cristopher Green of Mooresboro; broth- ers, Ray Green (Donna) of Forest City, Joel Green (Melinda) of Mooresboro, Jeff Green of Forest City; and ten grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. ROBERT WILBURN FRYAR Mr. Robert Wilburn Fryar (Bob), age 80, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022. A native of Marshall County, Oklahoma, he was born June 12, 1942, son of the late Edward Wilburn and Tressie Eva Fleeman Fryar. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Fryar; a brother, Charlie and a sister, Ann. Mr. Fryar is survived by seven children; Robin, Ben, Rodney, Michelle, Kim, Chad, and Chris; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and four siblings, Gene, Carolyn, Kenny, and Marilyn. Mitchell and husband Mark and Carl Blanton and wife Amy; five grandchildren; and a great granddaughter; two brothers, Harold Bess and Hugh Bess; and a sister-in- law, Shirley B. Pyron and husband Bobby. Born December 3, 1946, in Cleveland County, NC, Hilda was the daughter of the late Tom and Ora Hawkins Bess, her in-laws, Zeb and Susie Blanton, a sister-in-law, Sharon Bess, and a brother- in-law, Z.V. Mr. Rhoney is survived by his partner, Louise Bowman of Hickory and her family; two children, Sandra Towery and husband Andy of Vale (the home) and Jeffrey Rhoney of Asheville; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; brother, Bill Rhoney and sister, Annette Hull (Leonard), both of Vale; daughters-in-law Kelly and Tracie; and son-in-law Mike.
