A native of North Carolina, Sallie was the daughter of the late Fred Crotts and Lucy Hoyle Crotts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buck Earls. She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann James, two sons, Kenneth Ricky Ingle and William Jeffrey Ingle, all of Shelby, NC, and four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. NATHAN LEWIS LANKFORD Nathen Lewis Lankford, 63, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born in Cleveland County, on April 6, 1959, he was the son of the late Richard Dean Lankford and Minnie Thackerson Lankford. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Denise Michael. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Norton Lankford; daughter, Kristy Deveney; two stepsons, Michael McQuain Jr. and Cody Hager; and two step grand- children. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Shannon of the home; daughters, Kristin and Chealsea Prince; his mother, Christine Dixon; brothers, Robert Prince, Jr. and Joseph Prince; sisters, Christina Prince Humphries and Donna Davis; and his step-daughter, Rose Queen. He is predeceased by his previous wife, Sue Roper Oaks; mother, Carolyn Porter Philbeck and husband Ray Philbeck; father, George Dewey Oaks, Jr; sister, Christina Alford; and brother, Allen Philbeck.
