How- ever, when life gets tough, rough, and everything seems to be falling apart, I like to proclaim "It's not over until God says it's over!" I remind myself that I serve a supernatural God - a God of miracle-working power. Impossible is not in his vocabulary! Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV) states, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." God's Glory Jesus had some friends who were siblings: Lazarus, Martha, and Mary. The sisters sent word to Jesus that Lazarus was sick. John 11:6 states, "Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days." At first glance, it doesn't make sense that the passage says that Jesus loved them, but didn't immediately go to heal Lazarus - instead he waited 2 MORE DAYS and Lazarus DIED! In fact, Lazarus was in the grave for 4 days and his body had developed a bad odor. Like these sis- ters, we don't always understand why the Lord is taking a while to answer our prayers, especially when problems go from bad to worse. Sometimes, it's because he has a greater purpose to fulfill that is tied to our blessing, and he has a set time to release his glory that will not only bless us, but also many others. In ad- dition, nothing intimidates or limits God's power. He is able to make all things new and better, even resurrect the dead! You're Greatly Loved During times of waiting, some people have felt that God didn't love them or abandoned them. I'm sure Mary and Mar- tha, maybe even Lazaus, felt forsaken by Jesus. Imagine their surprise and joy when the Lord raised Lazarus from the dead! I want to assure everyone reading this that GOD LOVES YOU, and he has NOT forgotten about you! Even if you don't sense that he is there because of the pain you are going through, just trust him! Remember how he has come through before and remind yourself of his goodness. Isaiah 41:10 (ESV), states, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." PRAY THIS PRAYER: "Father, you are the God of great wonders! You demon- strate your awesome power among the nations. You are great and perform miracles; for You alone are God. Thank you for the amazing work you have done in my life and others - super- natural things that only you could do. Forgive me for being discouraged and giving up hope when my prayers have been delayed. Help me to keep believing your promises and trusting fully in you. I know that you love me - and I love you!
