Our community is a destination location surrounded by beautiful lakes, a charming downtown business district and incredible food and activities. Now in its 51st year, the Festival of Arts is more special than ever. We are so proud of this organization and I am sure you will not be disappointed. The artists are carefully selected, maintaining a high level of quality and originality. Having been to numerous art festivals around the country, I can say first hand that this diverse group of exhibitors is exceptional. Enjoy the talents of our exhibitors and enjoy the music and activities. I hope to see you at beautiful Fowler Park! Robert Magnus Mayor, City of Oconomowoc The President and Board of Directors of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts Ltd. wish to thank everyone who so willingly helped in the 2022 Festival. The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts Ltd.: • Is a non-profit organization • Has been in existence for 51 years • Administers a non-subsidized, self-supporting annual budget • Pays an Oconomowoc city park fee for the use of Fowler Park • Is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors • Presents generous scholarship awards annually Artists from around the country: • Apply for only 110 available spaces in the Festival • Submit applications using the ZAPP process by computer • Pay a flat fee to exhibit in the show. No percentage of their sales is shared • Compete for awards in the following categories: Best of Show; Ceramics; Drawing/Pastels/Printmaking; Fiber/Leather; Glass; Jewelry; Mixed Media 2D; Mixed Media 3D; Painting; Photography; Sculpture; Wood More than 500 local community volunteers: • Provide security for the park • Act as hosts and hostesses during the Festival • Provide food & drink under the direction of local churches & service clubs • Coordinate 30 hours of mostly volunteer entertainment on three stages • Entertain nearly 1,000 young people each year in the Children's Area • Provide free shuttle bus service to and from the Festival • Provide free pontoon shuttle from City Hall pier to Festival grounds • House artists in their homes if requested • Furnish a picnic buffet for all participating artists Scholarship Fund Over the years, the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts has given away more than $200,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing studies in the fine arts – visual and performing. How Artists Apply Applications may be downloaded from the Festival website, Oconomowocarts.org, after November 1, 2022. The committee will use the ZAPP application process only.
