James was born Tuesday, May 13, 1930, in Greenville County, SC to the late Hubert Stanley and Essie Blackwell Stanley. Mr. Stanley served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Kate Jenkins Stanley; four brothers, Cecil, Dupree, Jack and Lamar Stanley; a sister, Mary Lamb; and a grandson. Left to cherish fond memo- ries are his daughter, Gail Webb (Terry) of Mooresboro; a granddaughter; two great- grandchildren; and his sister, Shirley Honeycutt of Harris, NC. City; two sons, Ronnie Davis (Sheila) of Pratt, West Virginia and Robert Eugene Davis of Rutherfordton; a brother, Lawrence Davis of West Virginia; and nine grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Oscar Freddie and Arcie Bell Lovelace and was pre- ceded in death by her first husband, William Brunson Harmon; her second hus- band, Robert Hamer Rogers Jr. Lillian; and her brother, Billy Basil Lovelace. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Harmon Franks and husband Terry G. Franks; two grandchil- dren; two great grandchil- dren; and sister, Carolyn Lovelace Lail. Funeral service was held July 15, 2022 in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverends Ron Caulder and David Lee officiating. Interment was at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. JAMES WILBURN DAVIS James "Jimmy" Wilburn Davis, 62, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. He was born July 30, 1959 in Shelby, and is preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Davis. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Graham Davis; his mother, Beulah Mae Davis; three daughters, Brooke Emory (Josh), Jade Owens (Jason), Daryl Le Charpentier (Adam) and two sons, Ian Butler and Jason Butler; a sister, Sherry Icard; three brothers, Ray Davis, Johnny Davis and Billy Davis; and twelve grandchil- dren and two great grand- children. A graveside servicewas held at Sunset Cemetery, Shelby, NC July 15, 2022 officiated by Rev. Allen Davis. Memorial donations may be offered to American Cancer Society. Ralph was born Saturday, June 6, 1936 in Marmet, West Virginia to the late Fred Davis and Genevieve Wells Davis. Mr. Davis served our country in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Parsons Davis; a son, James Edward Davis; three broth- ers, William Arthur Davis, Paul Davis, Wallace Davis; and sisters Helen Crowley and Janet Young. Left to cherish fond memories are his daugh- ters, Georgia Lynn Cooper of Lawndale and Donna Gordon (Robert) of Forest MARTHA NADINE JOHNSON Martha Nadine Johnson, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. A native of Cleveland County, she was born July 1, 1934, daughter of the late Jacob and Sally Philbeck Lee. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by three husbands, Joe Blackwell, Howard Shaw, and Carl Johnson; six brothers, Marvin Lee, Harold Lee, Shannon Lee, Boyd Lee, Lowell Lee, and Frank Lee; and one sis- ter, Melba Callahan. Nadine is survived by three stepsons, Kent Shaw and wife Debbie of Troutman, NC, Van Shaw of Statesville, NC, and William Johnson and wife Lisa of Moncks Corner, SC; one stepdaughter, Julia Denton and husband Rev. Ed Denton of Durham, NC; four step grandchildren and one step great grandson. A funeral service was held July 18, 2022 at the Chapel of Cleveland Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Ed Denton with Pat Weaver as a special speak- er. Burial was at Cleveland Memorial Park.
